A Can’t-Miss Destination

The Azle Memorial Library is one of the best places in Azle to visit – you are always made to feel welcome! Don’t have a computer? No problem. They have them and you can use them FREE. Need help with your taxes? They have it through AARP. Want to learn how to use your new E-Reader? No problem, they can tell you how to do it and they are always so nice about it! I took my Kindle into the Library and said “How do I borrow a book on my reader”? Library staff member Tracey took me over to one of the computers, showed me everything I needed to know, and talked me through downloading my first eBook.

Plus, there is always something going on. I am 68 and I go to Book Club (two of them now) and to “What’s Cookin'” every month. Also music programs, health programs and fun events, too. Are you a very young person? Come to Storytime or Lego Club!

I am a member of Friends of the Library and we have helped purchase needed items for the library. We sell books at our annual book sale and do all kinds of fun things for and with the library. I also volunteer at the Library. My favorite volunteer jobs so far have been helping out at the special Spring Break 2013 Tea Party, the Summer Reading Ice Cream Social, and making cookies for the annual cookie exchange in December.

In my opinion, we have the best library in the State of Texas!
