As I write this, it’s a gorgeous 65 degrees outside. The sun is shining, and all thoughts of snow and scarves and winter boots are gone. I’m already watching for bluebonnets on the side of the highway and looking forward to dying Easter eggs.
We here at the Library have also been eagerly anticipating Spring Break because it means a week chock full of fun, family friendly events! Our Children’s Librarian, Ms. Nancy has great things planned for kiddos in the next few days. The Mondo Drummers are performing Tuesday, March 11th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Central Park Amphitheater. This event is sure to please the whole family. On Wednesday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. for kids ages 7-12, come learn the art of cartooning with Mike Brown of Brown Cow Productions (reservations required). Camp Out at the Science Fort is scheduled for Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for ages 7-12 (reservations required). And finally, on Friday March 14th from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. for ages 5-12, come and Brick It Up! when our Lego Club presents a special spring break edition where you’ll build, create, and race. There will be prizes!
So if you find yourself looking for something to do in the next few days, check out the Library. We’re sure to have something to please all ages!
