A New Year, A New You

04 Jan

I know some people are cynical about New Year’s resolutions – we all have good intentions to eat right, exercise more, watch less TV, and be more kind, charitable, and patient.  And then two months down the road, we’re eating fast food again, avoiding the gym, addicted to Bravo, and yelling at all the slow cars on the freeway (yes, some of this is autobiographical).  But I digress.  Because I love making goals, and I love the idea of a fresh start.  And I imagine that a lot of you do, too.  So, here’s a chance to start working on one of yours.

What’s Cookin’ is proud to present chef Paula Ambrose, who will be cooking up some heart healthy salads for us Monday, January 9th at 4:30 p.m. in the Library’s Community Room.  We’ll also be talking about what constitutes “heart healthy” and what we can do to improve the health of that vital organ.  We hope to see you there!
